Bio:
Have you ever felt stuck between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming? I’m Stacy, a Clinical Social Work Intern at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out. I see therapy as a collaborative space where we can explore the experiences, relationships, beliefs, and challenges that have shaped your life.
As an immigrant with a transient childhood and someone who has experienced many different chapters in life, I’ve spent a lot of time exploring questions of identity, belonging, change, and meaning. Before becoming a therapist, I served the Korean immigrant community as a pastor for nearly 20 years, an experience that deepened my appreciation for the resilience and complexity of people’s stories.
I have a special interest in trauma recovery, immigration and cultural identity, family conflict and estrangement, grief, LGBTQIA+ identities, ethical nonmonogamy, mindfulness, and life transitions.
I’m honored to walk alongside you wherever you are in your journey. Together, we can make sense of difficult experiences and examining your understanding of the meaning of life; deconstructing negative or disempowering narratives.
