Bio:
Welcome! I’m Sara Blankenburg, a Licensed Graduate Professional Art Therapist (LGPAT). I work with children, adolescents, and adults. Across all ages, I help people experience relief from shame, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, and inner criticism often through self-compassion. I have a passion for helping individuals and families affected by substance use. I specialize in guiding clients through recovery, healing, and emotional expression using a unique blend of art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, and existential approaches.
I believe that healing isn’t always found in words alone. If you’ve ever struggled to express your emotions, art therapy may be a powerful tool for self-discovery and communication. You don’t have to be an artist—art therapy is about the process, not the final product. My role is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore, express, and uncover emotions in a way that feels natural and meaningful to you.
